Richard has been taking photographs for over 25 years. He has embraced black and white film, instant and digital mediums to deliver his own unique style. Richard uses photographic technologies that lends itself to a certain aesthetic - "the most important thing in photography I believe is the photograph, the image. How you get there is more important - each photographer has his own way".

In 2009 Richard won the Olive Cotton Award for Savitri.

Richard has held 4 unique solo exhibitions at Point Light - One, The Faces of Dance, Thoughts and more recently Polishing the Stars.

Richard is working on new projects - The Colour Colection, x-ray, and recently The Nebula Collection.

Richard has a unique approach to weddings, his beautiful portraits and commisioned peices both landscape and portraits.
